The gift of Wisdom: It is the first gift and the most important. It is the gift of appreciating reality, creation, as God sees it. It is acquired by continually seeking the Lord through regular prayer and Bible reading.
The gift of Science (or Knowledge): It is the gift by which the Holy Spirit illuminates the human mind in such a way that it can have a supernatural knowledge of created things. Through this knowledge the human being can maintain his faith differentiating between good things and bad things.
The gift of Counsel: It is the gift by which the Lord gives us the intuition to do the right thing in difficult situations. Working in the best possible way following the will of God.
The gift of Fortitude: It is the gift that gives the necessary strength to overcome adversity and follow the path of the Lord without weakness. It grants the human being to dominate the temptations and resist the pressures that can divert him from the correct path.
The gift of Understanding (or Intelligence): The gift that gives the human being the ability to have a better vision of the mysteries of the Christian faith and of the Scriptures. It helps to understand more clearly the word of the Lord that the Holy Mother Church transmits to us.
The gift of Piety: The Holy Spirit grants this gift to perfect the love for God. Develop the natural affection that human beings have for the Lord to recognize him as Father and all humans as brothers.
The gift of the Fear of God: The gift that allows the human being to be prudent to avoid offending God and falling into sin.
