The Guardian Angel

The Guardian Angel, also known as protector angels, are celestial beings who protect men, women, and children from the moment God created all humanity. Each Christian, from the moment they are born, has a protective presence that accompanies them throughout their life.

In the early years of the Catholic Church, devotion to guardian angels was deeply rooted. There are many writings that serve as testimonies of the profound trust early Christians placed in the holy Guardian Angels, who were considered intercessors before God. In the year 800, the "Feast of the Guardian Angels" was celebrated in England, a celebration that highlighted their importance in the daily lives of the faithful. Later, in the year 1608, the celebration was extended to the entire Universal Church as the "Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels," commemorated on October 2.

The devotion to the protector angels seems to have diminished, especially among adults who have lost part of that spiritual connection. Among boys and girls, there is a special fondness for Guardian Angels.

These celestial beings serve as guides and comforters, watching over and protecting the little ones, even while they sleep peacefully.
