The red stolon is embroidered with symbols of the Holy Spirit:

• The dove with a golden halo on its head. It is one of the classic symbols since the Holy Spirit, during the Baptism of Jesus, appeared in the form of a dove.
• The tongues of fire. The Holy Spirit appeared to the apostles during the celebration of Pentecost. During that miraculous moment tongues of fire appeared over the heads of the apostles.

Pentecost is a Church holiday that is celebrated fifty days after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. During the celebration of Pentencost, the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles is commemorated to guide them in their evangelizing work.
