The lamb is one of the most well-known symbols that represents Jesus. This symbology has its origin in different passages of the Bible. But fundamentally Jesus is called the Lamb of God because Christ sacrificed himself for all of us for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus was the Passover lamb who died so that all of us might be forgiven.

The figure of the lamb is completed with a Cross and the flag of the Resurrection, or banner of the Resurrection, symbol of the victory of Jesus over death.
