Franciscan chasuble embroidery
Chasuble embroidered with Franciscan symbols on the front and back of the garment. The embroidery of this chasuble model reproduces the Franciscan Coat of Arms. In this symbol of the Order of Saint Francis of Assisi, two arms are reproduced in the central part.
On the left side you can see an outstretched arm dressed in a Franciscan habit. It is the arm of Saint Francis of Assisi. In the outstretched hand of the Saint can be seen the wound, the stigma that San Francisco suffered like Christ.
On the right side you can see a totally naked arm. It is the arm of Our Lord Jesus. In his hand is one of the wounds that Christ suffered during his Crucifixion on Mount Golgotha.
Between the arm of Saint Francis of Assisi and the arm of Jesus is the Tau Cross. Franciscan symbol recognized worldwide. The Franciscan Tau Cross is depicted surrounded by golden sparkles.
The embroidery of this chasuble reproduces the original meaning of the Franciscan Shield, the conformity of Saint Francis of Assisi with Christ: the crucified of Alverna with the Crucified of Golgotha.
